Hublot Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami All Black
When the watch becomes a work of art: the Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami All Black blurs the lines! For its first collaboration with the Japanese artist, Hublot has pushed the limits of creation by developing a new dynamic on the theme of Murakami’s artistic emblem, the humanized flower.
A first visit to Hublot in February 2020 introduced Takashi Murakami to watchmaking and timepiece design. The result is the innovative Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami All Black, inspired by Murakami’s icon, the humanized flower. Here, the flower lives both in and on the watch. Thanks to an ingenious ball-bearing system developed by Hublot engineers, its petals begin to turn. The heart of the humanized flower is inserted into the sapphire crystal, displaying its wide, prominent smile for a unique three-dimensional effect.
The Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami All Black takes up one of Hublot’s most evocative signatures, the All Black! Invented by Hublot in 2006, the All Black also happens to be one of Murakami’s artistic signatures. For even greater effect, the petals (456 brilliants) and pistil (107 brilliants) are set with black diamonds.
The watchmakers from Nyon have installed their Manufacture Unico caliber in the Classic Fusion’s iconic case design, a movement offering a 72-hour power reserve. The first collaboration between Hublot and the Japanese artist, the Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami will quickly become a collector’s item, as it is limited to just 200 pieces.
