Lamborghini Huracan STJ: The Ultimate Farewell

In a spectacular conclusion to an illustrious chapter, Lamborghini has unveiled the final edition of the Huracan, featuring the iconic V10 engine. This special edition, the Lamborghini Huracan STJ, promises to captivate car enthusiasts and collectors alike. As we delve into the details, discover why this model stands out as a significant milestone in automotive history.

Lamborghini Huracan STJ: The Huracan's legacy

A decade ago, the Lamborghini Huracan made a grand entrance, equipped with its legendary V10 engine. This supercar didn’t just turn heads; it propelled Lamborghini into a new era of automotive excellence. The Huracan has been pivotal in cementing the brand’s reputation for innovation and performance.

Unveiling the final V10: The Lamborghini Huracan STJ

The Lamborghini Huracan STJ is rooted in the Huracan STO model. The « ST » in its name stands for « Super Trofeo, » while « Jota » references the FIA’s appendix J, which outlines racing car specifications. This model is not just a car but a masterpiece of engineering and design.

Starting with the « Super Trofeo Omologata, » engineers enhanced this sporty version with a unique kit. This includes a new distinctive hood, two carbon fiber aerodynamic elements, and a rear wing with an increased tilt of 3 degrees compared to the standard model, boosting aerodynamic load by 10%.

To distinguish the STJ from other Huracans, Lamborghini offers two distinct liveries: a blue body with a black roof accented by red and white, and a grey body with a black roof also highlighted with red and white. Inside, a numbered carbon fiber plaque, stating « 1 of 10, » emphasizes the STJ’s exclusivity. Owners can also opt for a customizable passenger side plaque.

Performance beyond compare: Is the STJ superior to the STO?

Mechanically, the new STJ mirrors the STO in many aspects, including its powerful 640 horsepower engine and 565 Nm torque. The LDF gearbox efficiently channels this power exclusively to the rear wheels. Four new adjustable dampers, inspired directly by racing technology, significantly enhance grip and handling.

Each Huracan STJ comes equipped with Bridgestone Potenza Race tires. These tires, featuring a special high-grip compound, are mounted on 20-inch single-nut wheels, ensuring optimal performance.

A collector's dream: Limited to only 10 units

Housing the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine from the STO, producing 640 horsepower, the STJ is limited to a mere 10 units. While the exact price is undisclosed, it is anticipated to be well over $USD 380,000 €350,000. Despite the hefty price tag, all units were pre-sold approximately a year ago.

As Lamborghini bids farewell to this remarkable engine, the successor to the Huracan, rumored to be named Lamborghini Temerario, will feature a turbocharged V8 🙁 capable of reaching 10,000 RPM. However, it is doubtful that this new engine will replicate the enchanting sound of the V10, one of the most celebrated engines in automotive history… snif.
