Bombardier Global 8000, the fastest business jet in the world
At the EBACE business aviation show held in May (23rd to 25th), Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier unveiled its new aircraft: the Global 8000. It is a plane capable of traveling 8,000 nautical miles, or 14,816 km, with production scheduled for 2025. The private jet is available for pre-order at a price of $78 million, excluding options and customization.
This magnificent private jet is therefore directly competing with the G800 from Gulfstream. The maximum cruising speed of the Global 8000 will be Mach 0.94. To certify this speed, Bombardier flew the Global 7500 FTV at Mach 1.015 several times. The Global was accompanied by an F/A-18 Hornet from NASA. The Canadian business jet even managed to beat the maximum speed achieved by the B787, which was Mach 1.011. The Global 8000 is therefore second only to the Concorde as the fastest civilian aircraft. The new flagship of the business jet world will be able to easily serve ultra-long-haul routes as quickly as possible: Dubai-Houston or London-Perth, non-stop.

Other amenities, the Global 8000 also includes a large kitchen, a large dressing room, a 6-seat meeting and dining area, and a private toilet with a stand-up shower. The business jet is expected to enter service in 2025.
